I’m grateful for:
1. My health and my body: I never thought I’d be “happy” to wake up at 5:30am, but I feel motivated to exercise early and take care of my body.
2. A progressive society that seeks to challenge gender/racial inequality: Though we’re far from gender equality (insert 217 pages of Sheryl Sandberg’s Lean In), I’m glad to be a part of society that allows me to speak openly about this and bring light to this disparity of income, opportunity, perception, and expectations.
3. Technology! Blogging is cool B) And it’s a fun way to hold me publicly accountable for writing regularly again.
